Sometimes the use of an area or the nature of the work being undertaken might preclude a person with a disability from working in that area. In many cases, this application of Clause D3.4 exemptions might be clear (such as industrial plants, lift motor rooms, chemical treatment areas and the like).
Other times it might not be so clear, and when this occurs Access Central can help consider the requirements under both State/Territory building legislation and Federal disability legislation.
